Algorithm Playbook
How we infiltrate the algorithms
You don't hack the algorithm — you feed it the signals it's already looking for, faster and more consistently than the competition.
TikTok
- →Pick ONE 8–15s hook per single. Upload as an original sound 10–14 days before DSP release so it can trend before launch.
- →Ask your distributor for every available short-form boost, promote tool, and sound-page pickup before release week.
- →Seed via Creed Media / Flighthouse: 30–50 micro-creators making native edits, not branded-looking promo.
- →Reply to every comment in first 4h — TikTok weights early engagement velocity heavily.
- →Re-upload the same hook with 3 different captions / covers. Algorithm rewards the variant, not the post.
Instagram Reels
- →Mirror the TikTok sound but post natively — never crosspost the watermark.
- →Tag 2–3 frequent collaborators per Reel — invites algorithmic distribution into their graphs.
- →Post Reels at 7pm UK Tue/Thu/Sun — peak UK rap audience windows.
Spotify
- →Pitch via Spotify for Artists at least 7 days pre-release. Mood, instruments, and city fields are read by editors AND the algorithm.
- →Drive 300+ saves in first 24h from owned channels — triggers Discover Weekly consideration.
- →Never delete underperforming tracks. The algorithm needs catalogue depth to recommend you.
- →Schedule a track every 4–6 weeks during a campaign window to keep Release Radar warm.
Apple Music
- →Pitch via Apple Music for Artists with platform-specific copy — they hate the same blurb as Spotify.
- →Apple weighs Shazams heavily — sync placements & live moments feed straight back into editorial.
- →Submit lyrics + time-synced lyrics on day one — boosts surfacing in lyric search.
