This Privacy Notice explains how Worldwide Music Group Ltd ("WWMG", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in England & Wales, collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our websites, applications, and services (the "Service").
WWMG is the data controller for the personal data processed through the Service.
1. The data we collect
- Account data: name, artist or project name, email address, password (hashed).
- Profile and content: bios, links, avatars, recordings, artwork, metadata, and other material you upload.
- Distribution and royalty data: release information, splits, payout details, and statements from streaming partners.
- Communications: support messages, feedback, and any correspondence with our team.
- Usage and device data: log data, IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, and actions taken.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see "Cookies" below.
Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment provider, Stripe, and are not stored by WWMG.
2. How we use your data and our legal basis
- To provide the Service — create and manage your account, distribute releases, calculate royalties, surface insights (legal basis: performance of a contract).
- To secure the Service — detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- To support you — respond to enquiries and resolve issues (legal basis: contract / legitimate interests).
- To improve the Service — analyse usage, debug, and develop new features (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- To send service and marketing communications — service notices are sent on the basis of contract; marketing emails are sent on the basis of consent and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations — including tax, accounting, and lawful requests from authorities (legal basis: legal obligation).
3. Who we share your data with
- Service providers (subprocessors): hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, and customer support tooling.
- Stripe as our payment processor for subscription management, payments, tax calculation, refunds, and invoicing.
- Distribution partners and DSPs (e.g. Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music) where required to deliver releases you submit.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, where necessary.
- Authorities and regulators where required by law.
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to equivalent protections.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside the UK and EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards, including UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses and adequacy decisions where available.
5. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten");
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Receive your data in a portable format;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

7. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, role-based permissions, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to minimise risk.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:
- Essential — required to sign you in and keep the Service running.
- Analytics — help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
- Marketing — measure the performance of campaigns where you've consented.
You can manage cookies via your browser settings.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
